We use Gravatar.com, which is a globally accepted solution for associating human or avatar pics to email addresses.

How it works is our website (and others similar) do a lookup on gravatar using your email address used to register an account here (all communications are encrypted for security), and if you have an account there for that email, they return an image.

So what you need to do is :

• Create an account at http://gravatar.com, using the email you use to create an account on our website (and other websites)
• Upload an image you’d like to use to that gravatar account
• Save it
• And from then on, our website should display your pic next to your comments etc
• Simples

The Visiwa 2010 Summer Market on the lovely Port Of Kijiji promenade walk is now open!

It opened on 1st August and will run until 22nd August.

Our markets are unusual in that there is free entry to sell at them. So if you have some goods to sell, as long as you follow the rules you can get a FREE stall (limited availability) and sell your items. Like a mini-store!

Just come along and click one of the market signs to get an info notecard.

Following on the great successes of each of our Expo’s, we are proud to announce the 2010 Art expo is now open! The Expo runs from 5th to 27th June along our promenade walk.

Come on down to the uber-romantic port of Kijiji at Visiwa Estate and enjoy the art on expo.

If you are an artist and have your own easel-art to sell, please ask Lucie Laval or Wilma Webster to add you as exhibitors so you can put your art on display on our easels. Exhibitor stalls are free.

October 2009 Visiwa celebrates our first birthday!

Lucie has arranged tons of party events with live performances and our famous street dancing along the romantic promenade at the Port of Kijiji. The program of events is :

We are very proud to announce out of over 30 000 regions Visiwa was one of those chosen and has been included in the new ”What Is Second Life?” video made by ILL Clan Animation Studios for Linden Labs to feature on SL™’s brand new website, to demonstrate what is possible in Second Life™.

Visiwa’s fine balance between ultra-realistic and efficient content, with our consistent romantic theme and 70% communal open spaces provide the ideal environment for serious SL’ers to find their perfect virtual home. We have homes for rent, as well as a limited number of isles to buy to put up your own home.

Considering the exposure Visiwa is already getting (was only last month featured on SL™ website frontpage as example of what can be done with Island sims, and now in their main ‘intro/show’ video), the few isles for sale here must be an excellent investment opportunity in virtual estates.

In fact within 1 hour of making our first two isles available for sale they were already sold - before we could run an advertising campaign! We have two more ready now for sale, and after that there will only be a handful more for sale - these are on Pier and Mawimbi (means Waves) sims.

Most estates (even the ‘top’ estates) in SL™ are overbuilt and over parcelled into slices in an effort to squeeze more revenue per square meter. We don’t do that at Visiwa Estates, we have around 70% open spaces so residents can stretch their arms and have some privacy at thier homes.

Our extremely romantic (think Venice / Southern France / Africa) themed village is a short walk, and our stunning beaches all around beyond the village. We suggest to take a hot-air-balloon flight (you control the flight - use PageUP key to get altitude! and don’t use up all the propane gas! ) over our estate to see from the air places you’d like to explore.

Some of the new islands are now landscaped and ready for sale - at Pier and Tanga sims, and will be advertised for sale soon, so if you want to invest in the best property in SL - better hurry, they are very limited.

UPDATE ON THIS…

Within the first hour of this post, the first two isles were already sold! Congratulations and welcome to Mishi and Janu who become the first two private owners of property on the estate! Their investment will allow them to resell the isles later if they so wish at any price they can get. There is currently one 1 isle available although we will be adding about 3 more just before we run an advert, but not many at all - so very exclusive and will always be. We were going to run an advert tomorrow but need to stall as the first two went too fast and only 1 more avail atm.

The summer market is running well and runs till 16th August - this weekend! Thanks to Lucie, Wilma, and Mak for all their organising. There are plenty of stalls to see with many exhibitors. So if you haven’t been there to see whats on sale, get there fast! - only 3 days left
